This is one of the most versatile and comfortable garments we’ve ever made! This garment is influenced by historical Viking garments. Ours can be worn with a kirtle or pants with a long sleeve tunic for a Medieval period look. Or for modern daywear, it can be worn with a turtleneck to work, or alone as casual, comfy sundress. So useful and so many ways to wear it!!  This dress has matching fabric ties at the waist, which can be tied to the front or the back depending on your preference. This dress has a short side split for ease of movement.  Perfect for SCA events, Medieval festivals, and summer Highland games. Two styles to choose from! AND YOU CAN ADD POCKETS!! 

Length: Comes approx. 54" to 56" in full length as standard.  Longer or shorter lengths are available by choosing the Height option desired. Let us know if you need a specific length. 

Styles:

Trim: Your choice of trim colors! Just pick your favorite trim from our Trims page, and put the style number in the Special Instructions section.  Trims Page  The Trim would run along the neckline edges and the straps only.  We don't offer around the hemline - most of our trims do not curve well, so there would be awkward pleats in the trim, ruining the continuity of the trim design. 

Inked:  inspired by historically accurate block printing, we hand-screen with a permanent fabric ink dye to produce the knotwork.  Ink colors are available only in White, Green, Matte Gray or Black.  Please choose highly contrasting colors like green ink on light colored fabrics or black ink on green fabric. 

Fabric Options:

Cotton: This shirt comes standard in 100% cotton fabric.  Machine washable. Care instructions provided with order. 

Linen/Cotton Blend: We also offer a Cotton/Linen blend for a more historical look perfect for Celt, Viking, or any historical figure for an added cost. The blend is 55% linen and 45% cotton. It has a textured, mottled look to it. Machine washable. Care instructions provided with order. 

Pockets Option: There will be a visible stitch line on the front side panel in order to keep the pocket secure. The pocket will be our standard deep style pocket, large enough to hold a 16 oz. water bottle.
