This Lady's Long Vest has Celtic knotwork embroidery on the hem and shoulders. The fit of the garment is tailored in at the waist, flared at the hem. With the same neckline as a bodice, but without the squish of a bodice. This garment has a loose, more relaxed fit style. There is NO boning in this garment to support the girls, undergarments should be worn.  Can be worn with a basic top and either skirts or pants or with a full-length Chemise. This vest is extremely versatile and encompasses many time periods, but not historically accurate. Wear it for fighting or for court, it all depends on how you accessorize it. The addition of a Hood or Collar lends itself to more of a Fantasy aspect and has no Historical precedent. 

 
Our Long Vest comes standard with side lacing, as well as front lacing.  There is no boning in this garment.  A back hem split can be added, if desired (it does not go all the way up the back - also known as a riding split).  As is standard with our bodice styles, this garment is made of heavy, washable cotton twill.  All seams are reinforced to withstand the rigors of fighting and wenching. And it is fully reversible, effectively two vests in one!! 

Your fabric color choice is the 'outside', embroidered side of the garment.  The "liner" side comes standard in black. Other color options for the "liner" side may be requested in the Special Instructions section.
